Within this state-of-the-art plant, our FlexScan automated measurement solutions have been integrated to support the production workflow by providing precise 2D/3D geometric validation, surface inspection, and tolerance verification for artillery shell bodies. The FlexScan units ensure that every projectile produced on the line meets the required dimensional standards before proceeding to downstream operations.
The Mesquite facility represents the Pentagon’s first major ammunition production investment since the start of the Ukraine conflict and is designed to reach an output capacity of 30,000 artillery shells per month.
